Many of my fellow hikers have asked me for more information about the hike I participate in in The Netherlands each July. As I am over 60 I only have to walk 120 km (30km per day) over the four days to receive a medal. Open age people have to complete 200km. The medal awarded is an official Dutch Military Marching Medal. 2016 was the 100th running of the event with 50,000 walkers. it is the largest multi day walking event in the world.
